Material Overview

3Cr13 is one of the most common entry-level stainless steels in China’s knife industry. It has very low carbon content, making it soft and easy to sharpen but limiting edge retention significantly. It is widely used in inexpensive knives where cost and rust resistance matter more than performance. While it is not suitable for demanding cutting tasks, it remains practical for light everyday use and beginner-friendly products.
