Material Overview

TP1Mo is a stainless steel designed to provide a practical balance between corrosion resistance, toughness, and ease of sharpening. The addition of molybdenum improves pitting resistance and overall durability compared to basic stainless steels. In knife applications, TP1Mo is valued for its reliable everyday performance and low maintenance requirements. It is not intended to compete with premium steels such as VG-10, SG2, or MagnaCut, but instead focuses on delivering consistent cutting performance and excellent stain resistance at a reasonable cost. It is commonly found in kitchen knives where ease of care is a priority.
