Sometimes, the best designs don't need reinvention — they need refinement. That's the philosophy behind the CICADA'S WING-TL, Bestechman's newest release and the next chapter of a knife that has become a staple in the pockets of everyday carry enthusiasts around the world. It arrives September 24, 2026.

What the Community Built
The original CICADA'S WING wasn't designed in a vacuum — and its successor wasn't either. Over the past years, thousands of users carried it daily, cut with it, fidgeted with it, and told us exactly what they loved and what they'd change. The CICADA'S WING-TL is our answer to that conversation.
We kept what made the original special: the feather-light feel, the thin 10Cr15CoMoV blade, the utility-driven drop-point shape. And then we rebuilt the lock.

Same Thin Blade. Completely New Backbone.
The headline change in the CICADA'S WING-TL is its Top Liner Lock with a push-button release — a modern locking architecture that fundamentally changes how the knife feels in hand and in motion. The handle profile is cleaner and more streamlined, the grip more secure, and the lockup as dependable as ever. One press to close, one flip to open. Simple as a knife should be.
