10Cr15CoMoV is an upgraded Chinese stainless steel based on the 10Cr15MoV family, with the addition of cobalt to improve hardness response and edge stability during heat treatment. It is commonly positioned as a higher-end budget steel for kitchen and EDC knives. The steel offers good corrosion resistance, decent wear resistance, and reliable cutting performance while remaining easier to sharpen than premium powder metallurgy steels. It is often marketed as a more refined alternative to standard 10Cr15MoV.
