Ostap Hel

Ostap Hel is a Polish full-time designer and custom knifemaker. Raised among art students by his Academy of Arts graduate father, he developed a passion for drawing early on. As a teenager, his fascination with medieval weaponry led him to knives and a year-long apprenticeship in an armorer's workshop, where he mastered traditional metalworking. Seeking greater precision, he established his own workshop, embracing manual machining and CNC. His designs center on pure geometry, fluid transitions, and the Golden Ratio, while his collaborations explore bold new forms tailored to each partner's unique style and capabilities.
