When knifemakers want to cut weight, the first move is usually exotic materials: titanium, carbon fiber, anything with an aerospace price tag. Toor Knives founder Connor Toor took a different route with the Barrow. He started by asking how hunters actually use a knife in the field, then designed the blade around the answer.
The realization was simple: most detailed work—field dressing, caping, slicing—happens at the tip and belly of the blade. The rest of the length often just adds weight. So Toor shortened the cutting edge to 2.875 inches, kept the drop-point profile, and gave the knife a generous 4.5-inch handle. The result is a tool that weighs only 2.29 ounces but still offers a full, confident grip.
