Brace yourselves: the May Buck of the Month has arrived just two weeks after the April edition dropped. This time around, it's another special variant of the Range Elite, dressed in a color scheme that offers a subtle nod to a certain iconic science fiction franchise.

Back-to-back BotM releases like this are unusual for Buck. Typically, the company spaces out each launch to give collectors some breathing room. But May isn't just any month—May 4th is a date that carries serious weight for Star Wars fans. "May the Fourth" has long been celebrated across the galaxy (and the internet), and the knife world has consistently embraced the franchise over the years. Whether from boutique custom makers or industry giants like Buck, limited-edition Star Wars–themed blades have become something of a tradition.

The May 2026 Range Elite arrives with a "galaxy-worn" orange-and-white finish on its aluminum handles, instantly evoking the classic rebel flightsuits from the original trilogy. We can't speak to whether the newer films feature similar gear—we haven't seen them—but the worn aesthetic here looks undeniably cool, lending the knife a retro, practical vibe reminiscent of the practical effects era that defined those first movies.

While the handle channels the Rebel Alliance, the blade sides with the Empire. The MagnaCut steel is coated in Stormtrooper White Cerakote, accented by a blue thumb stud, and finished with the same weathered texture as the handle. Despite the special livery, the knife retains all the proven hardware of the standard Range Elite: the familiar pocket clip and Buck's reliable crossbar lock. This limited run is capped at 750 pieces—so if you're looking to make the Kessel Run, you'd better move fast.
