Blade Show Atlanta is finally here, and I couldn't be more fired up to pull back the curtain on my newest piece—the HB23 Persian. This isn't just a knife; it's a statement. The heart of it is a RWL34 blade, but what really sets it apart are those delicate 24ct gold dots scattered across the steel like constellations. The titanium scales are hand-engraved by Henk Viljoen over at @metalartiststudio, a guy whose work genuinely speaks for itself, and the hand-sculpted Mokume inlay ties the whole thing together with this organic, almost living texture that shifts in the light. It's the kind of detail you don't fully appreciate until it's right in your hands.
I also have to give a huge shoutout to Roulaine from Roulaine Creations down in South Africa. She shot the photos for this piece, and honestly, the images are unreal—perfect lighting, zero glare on the blade, and a depth that makes the knife feel like you could reach in and pick it up. That kind of photography is an art form in itself, and she nailed it.
