Benchmate gives its full-size MagnaCut Adamas the same marbled carbon fiber and Flat Dark Earth treatment that made the Mini Adamas a hit, dropping weight to 6.2 ounces in the process.

When Benchmade moved the entire Adamas family to CPM MagnaCut back in July, it felt like the big Adamas news of the year. Turns out the brand was just warming up. Barely two months later, Benchmade has unveiled the Adamas 275-05, a dressed-up version of the full-size folder that swaps the standard G-10 scales for marbled carbon fiber and warms the whole package up with copper-toned hardware.
Borrowed From the Mini
The color recipe — marbled carbon fiber paired with Flat Dark Earth accents — isn’t new to the Adamas line. The Mini Adamas ran it first, and Benchmade openly credits the smaller sibling for inspiring this release. Fans of the full-size version have been waiting for their turn ever since, and now it’s here.
What Changed
The 275-05 layers black-and-gray marbled carbon fiber scales over steel liners that have been PVD-coated in FDE. The thumb studs, pivot collar, and deep-carry clip all match in the same warm, coppery finish. Carbon fiber is lighter than G-10, so this fancier Adamas checks in at 6.2 ounces. For reference, the original D2-era Adamas was a 7.7-ounce brick, and Benchmade’s gradual weight reduction has been one of the more welcome evolutions of the platform.
What Stayed the Same
The blade is still a 3.82-inch drop point in satin-finished MagnaCut, complete with the signature fuller. It still uses the AXIS lock that Shane Sibert designed the original around back in 2010. It’s still made in the USA, and it still carries Benchmade’s LifeSharp sharpening guarantee for life.
For those who prefer automatic deployment, there’s a matching Auto Adamas, the 2750-06, which runs even lighter at 5.83 ounces and adds a push-button opener.

The Bottom Line
The Adamas 275-05 lands at 425, a 100 premium over the G-10 MagnaCut version. The Auto Adamas 2750-06 comes in at $525. Both are set to launch within the week, with waitlists already open through Benchmade’s site and dealers. It’s a lot of knife for a lot of money, but for collectors and heavy-use carriers who wanted the Mini’s aesthetic in full-size form, this is the release they’ve been asking for.
