8.07 inches of open knife, 3.35 inches of D2, and one handle detail Kershaw has never shipped before: stainless steel inlays set into a glass-filled nylon frame. That combination is the Beskar, model 1439, one of eight knives Kershaw and Zero Tolerance released together on October 30. The Beskar carries an $89.99 MSRP and is in stock now.

The blade is a trailing point, a shape Kershaw rarely reaches for in its mainline folders. It runs 3.35 inches with a 0.105-inch stock in D2 tool steel, finished in what Kershaw calls a working finish, a subdued dark stonewash that hides shop wear well. Opening rides on KVT ball bearings.

The lock is Kershaw's DuraLock, the KAI crossbar mechanism that has been migrating down from Zero Tolerance models all year. It is ambidextrous, and on paper it is the same lock family Benchmade licenses as AXIS. Kershaw pairs it with a reversible deep-carry clip, so left-handers get a fully mirrored setup without buying a separate version.

Handle construction is where the Beskar separates from the Conduit XL and Hectic that launched alongside it. Those budget models use plain GFN and stainless frames. The Beskar's brown GFN scales carry inlays made from actual stainless steel, finished to match the blade's working finish. KnifeNews noted the detail directly in its October 30 coverage: stainless steel inlays on a DuraLock folder are not something the outlet had seen before, at any price from KAI.

Weight is 3.6 ounces with a 4.72-inch closed length, which puts the Beskar in the same hand-feel bracket as Kershaw's Iridium and Heist D2 folders from earlier DuraLock batches. Those two preceded it in the catalog, and the Beskar reads as their trailing-point sibling rather than a replacement.

Context for the drop: Kershaw released the Beskar alongside the Conduit XL, the Hectic, the premium Continental and CF Bareknuckle in CPM MagnaCut, and a new Launch 24 automatic, while Zero Tolerance contributed the 0316 and the 0512DL, both in CPM Cru-Wear. Every piece in the batch is available now, which is unusual for a launch window that usually staggers over weeks.

For buyers, the Beskar sits between the budget pairs and the MagnaCut premiums: D2 instead of 8Cr13MoV, GFN with steel inlays instead of plain polymer, and the same DuraLock hardware as the $100-plus models. Kershaw lists the MSRP at $89.99, and KnivesShipFree currently has it at $57.86, in stock and shipping.
